Hello!

My name is Nwakaego Abdul (also known as Kae, Nwaka, or Ego), and I am the owner and lead decorator of Kae Decor & Events.

My journey into the world of event & wedding décor began long before I started my business. I have always been drawn to the art of transforming spaces. Whether attending a wedding, a birthday party, or a social gathering, I found myself gravitating toward the setup process, itching to adjust centerpieces, arrange tables, and ensure every detail felt just right. What started as a natural instinct eventually became a true passion.

I am a lover of God!

I LOVE and adore my husband with every part of me. We met in middle school, and our love story is my favorite — he knew I was the one by high school and patiently waited for me. Now, we’ve built a beautiful life together, rooted in love and our faith in God, with our two incredible children who bring us endless joy. (Though, between us, my heart still longs to grow our family even more! I love children!)

Today, Kae Decor & Events is a New Jersey-based wedding and event décor company, specializing in Nigerian weddings, and diverse multicultural celebrations. With over 7 years of experience, we’ve had the honor of designing events across NJ, & NY — and we’re available to travel!
