About Us
My name is Nwakaego Abdul (also known as Kae, Nwaka, or Ego), and I am the owner and lead planner/decorator of Kae Decor & Events. My love for LOVE and weddings had me planning my own wedding in 2008.
If I had to do it over (with the same man, of course ☺️), I would have hired a wedding planner. Everything that could go wrong happened that day because I didn't have a planner to execute my vision for that day. After my wedding experience, I was on a mission to help brides like myself plan/coordinate their big day. Along the way, I discovered I had a knack for design and decor.
I have an Electrical & Computer Engineering degree. My troubleshooting skills comes in handy when planning and designing weddings because I am able to ask the right questions to determine the needs of brides, as well as analyze different options available for brides to have a stress-free day.
We are a Wedding/Event Planning & Décor Company based in New Jersey, with over 7 years of experience planning & decorating Nigerian weddings & diverse events in NJ, NY, MD, VA, PA & DE. We are available to travel.

WEDDING & EVENT PLANNING
As a bride, your make-up is the first agenda of the day (after breakfast ☺️) so we make sure the day starts on time. It is very important to keep to the timeline because any delay with a particular agenda, will delay the next agenda, and you could end up paying extra for vendors staying over the contracted time.
After make-up, the next agenda is pictures! We recommend taking pictures right after make-up because as a bride, your make-up is fresh and you have the time (with no guests in sight) to get portraits of you and the groom. You also capture beautiful moments with your bridal party and parents.
